Meet Dr. Alejandro Caribas
As an Oral Surgeon, I am most passionate about helping my patients improve their oral and facial health and function. I enjoy performing complex surgical procedures that can restore a person’s smile, confidence, and quality of life. I also love learning new techniques and technologies that enhance my skills and provide better outcomes for my patients.
Some of the most rewarding aspects of my work are seeing the transformation of my patients before and after surgery, and receiving their gratitude and appreciation.

Education
Dr. Alejandro Caribas grew up in Caracas, Venezuela and earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the Universidad Central de Venezuela. He next completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at the Puerto Rico Medical Center in San Juan, Puerto Rico in 2002. This rigorous post-doctorate training covered all aspects of advanced oral and maxillofacial surgery, including trauma, dentoalveolar, and dental implants.
Following his residency, Dr. Caribas returned to Venezuela. He practiced for ten years at San Juan De Dios Children’s Hospital, while also serving as an associated professor in oral surgery at Venezuela Central University.
As an Oral Surgeon
Dr. Caribas has practiced as an oral surgeon for over 20 years. He takes pride in being part of Tampa Advanced Dental Solutions, where the doctors and team are dedicated to providing personalized care and lasting results. He is especially appreciative of each coworker’s attention to individual patient details and commitment to excellence.
Working with each of his patients, Dr. Caribas attentively listens to learn their concerns and expectations. This allows him to identify treatment that addresses the whole of their life, not only their oral health. The conversations also build trust and enhance his abilities to adapt to unique personalities.
Continuing Education and Professional Affiliations
Throughout his career, Dr. Caribas has constantly sought-out opportunities to further develop expertise in his specialty. Continuing education improves patient outcomes by ensuring he is up-to-date with the latest advancements in patient care. That said, he also learns every day with the help of his patients, who show him how to be a better practitioner and person.
Dr. Caribas is a Board-Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and board-certified in Dental Anesthesia. He is also an active member of the:

Beyond the Office
A resident of Land o’ Lakes, much of Dr. Caribas’ free time is spent with his wife Josefina, sons Alejandro and Diego, and the family’s Golden Retriever, Milo. He enjoys running, swimming, and biking throughout Florida, as well as playing tennis. Being with family and friends, reading, and traveling all help him relax and recharge.
